This Christmas, St Joseph’s Intermediate Paediatric Care invites you to join our Gift of Life Christmas Campaign, a five-week journey of giving inspired by the season of Advent.

Each week reveals a new gift of Light, Life, Smiles, Gratitude, and Hope, symbolising the healing and transformation that happen every day within our care.
Together, these gifts celebrate 90 years of compassion in action, offering children with complex medical needs the chance to heal, grow, and rediscover joy.

Hope begins with a spark; your kindness helps children like Hayden shine again. When seven-year-old Hayden arrived at St Joseph’s, he was fighting for his life, paralysed on one side, unable to walk, eat, or speak after battling tuberculous meningitis. His world was filled with fear and silence.

But through months of dedicated care, therapy, and gentle encouragement, that spark began to grow. Hayden learned to eat by mouth again, then to smile, sing, and laugh, until the boy who had once fallen quiet now filled the ward with light and joy.
