This Father’s Day, We Salute the Dads Who Give Hope

Any man can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a dad.” – Anne Geddes

To all the fathers in our donor community, thank you.

Your support means more than you may know, especially to the young patients at St Joseph’s. In a country where so many children grow up without the presence of a father, your kindness and care are a powerful reminder that good men do show up.

You may never meet the children whose lives you’ve touched, but your support gives them the chance to walk again, to learn to talk, to play, to heal. You remind them that they are seen, valued, and worthy of love.

To the dads at St Joseph’s who ensures that the wards are well maintained, the spaces safe, that patients get to their medical checkups on time and safely, who keeps the play areas neat and safe and all the very many things you do. You mean so much to us all.

This Father’s Day, we also celebrate two ordinary dads who do the extraordinary —Regan Bagley and Jermaine Carelse—who are pedalling with purpose in honour of the children and caregivers at St Joseph’s. As fathers and first responders, they know what it means to protect, to persevere, and to lead with heart. Their upcoming challenge in the Wines2Whales race is more than a ride—it’s a tribute to every child who deserves a second chance, and every caregiver who gives their all.

To every dad who gives, serves, or inspires: we see you, we thank you, and we honour you. Your generosity helps rewrite the story for children who need it most.
